Public Relations Expert Fraser Seitel to Speak at UNI, Mar. 27

Fraser Seitel is an American analyst, author, publicist, and public relations expert who will speak at 7 p.m. on March 27, 2018, in Room 301 (Scholar Space) at Rod Library, UNI.  The title of his speech is “Public Relations in an Age of Nationalism.”  This lecture is part of the Hearst Lecture Series, and is sponsored by the College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences and the Department of Communication Studies. The event is free and open to the public.

Seitel is president of Emerald Partners, a public relations firm he and associates founded in 1992.  In addition, he served as senior counselor at Burson-Marsteller, and earlier as senior vice president and director of public affairs at the Chase Manhattan Bank.  He has appeared on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Larry King Live, MSNBC, Glenn Beck, Fox Business Network, the Fox Radio Network, and National Public Radio.  He wrote opinion pieces for the Fox News website and Fortune Magazine, and is the author of a popular public relations textbook.  He is an adjunct professor at New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies’ graduate program in Public Relations and Corporate Communication.
