#GalsNGear: Life Hacks for Gender and Other Diversity "Challenged" Creatives

Amy DeLouise, director/producer and author, will be speaking on Monday, April 23, at 7 pm in Lang Auditorium on #GalsNGear: Life Hacks for Gender and Other Diversity "Challenged" Creatives.


Amy DeLouise is an accomplished video director/producer with more than 400 productions to her credit. A leader in the field of digital storytelling, Amy has garnered more than 40 creative excellence awards including Tellys, Peer, New York Festivals, Aurora, and CINE Golden Eagle. She was also honored with the Woman of Vision Leadership Award from Women in Film & Video (WIFV) of Washington, D.C. for her leadership in the industry.
A long-time champion of women media-makers and an entrepreneur who has run several media businesses, Amy is currently spearheading WIFV’s innovative pop-up event, #GalsNGear, focused on building community and creating new opportunities for greater gender balance in media production.

Amy is a sought-after speaker at conferences such as GV Expo, CCW, and NAB Show. She has popular online courses (www.Lynda.com/AmyDeLouise) including a new title on Script Writing for Nonfiction Video, and her well-regarded The Art of the Video Interview. Her new book The Producer’s Playbook: Real People on Camera (Focal Press/Routledge) brings tips and real- world strategies to video producers working with non-actors in front of the camera for everything from documentaries and reality TV to web videos and testimonials.
