Digital Media Students Receive Awards and Screenings

UNI Digital Media students report a number of recent achievements:film shoot for Tarrell Christie movie
 
Tarrell Christie's short fiction film Top Secret was selected for the Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival.
 
Kazek Israni-Winger and Allyn Oxley's film E for Edwin was selected for the London Liftoff Festival, the Oneota Student Film Festival and the Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival.
 
Laney Kraus-Taddeo received multiple nominations to the Student Production Award from the Upper Midwest Emmy® Foundation of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The awards recognize excellence in media production for high school & college/university students within the NATAS – Upper Midwest region. (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa & western Wisconsin).

Laney's film The Merge was nominated in the College-Long form Fiction category and she was also nominated in the College- Director category. It was also included as official selection for the Oneota Student Film Festival and the Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival.
 
In addition, Laney was the sole winner of a college scholarship from the NATAS-UMW Chapter/Foundation, selected from high school and college students within the chapter region (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and western Wisconsin).
