Dr. Daniellle Dick McGeough received the University Book and Supply Outstanding Teaching Award at the UNI Awards Celebration on April 25, 2017.
This highly competitive award goes to probationary faculty who prepare and use innovative classroom strategies and materials, exhibit uncommon dedication and zeal for the ideals and ideas of education, and are generous with their time and talent, successfully integrating research, scholarship and/or creative activity into their practice of teaching.
Dr. McGeough teaches courses in cultural performance, qualitative research, performance and social change, community and communication, as well as public speaking and oral communication. In addition to her teaching, She also works in the UNI Interpreters Theatre, where she collaborates with students in devising ensemble performances. She views the theatre as a classroom and a laboratory for students to research, play, experiment, and learn about themselves and others.
