Allison Arp, Senior PR Major, Wins PRSSA Ron Culp Scholarship
Allie Arp, senior public relations major, received the 2012 Ron Culp Scholarship for Mentorship at PRSSA National Conference in October in San Francisco.
According to PRSSA, the "this unique $1,000 scholarship is designed to honor a student entering his or her senior year at a four year accredited institution for their mentoring of others and their promotion of public relations as a career choice. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is nominated by the college or professional advisor of a Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, or by one of his or her peers who can address the ways the nominee has helped others in their career and professional development, and how that individual has demonstrated their potential to be a strong mentor of others in their professional life."
The award, established in 2011, was founded by a grant to the PRSA Foundation by Ron Culp, partner at global public relations firm Ketchum who heads the agency's Corporate Practice in North America.
